All Gates ‘All Black’ wins silver at the SIBA Great Northern Beer Competition!

Please accept my apologies, this post is four weeks out of date. Time is my enemy. Time is not my friend.

Anyway the awards just keep on coming! All Gates Brewery is delighted to announce that we had success at the recent SIBA Great Northern Beer Competition with All Black (silver in the Mild category) – thanks to all who supported us!

The whole competition was contested by 80 northern breweries entering 254 cask beers. Judging was by blind tasting.

SIBA Great Northern Beer Festival

The SIBA Great Northern Beer Festival is organised by SIBA in conjunction with Greater Manchester CAMRA (the Campaign for Real Ale) and this year runs from Thursday 27th October to Saturday 29th October.

The venue is The Ramada Hotel, Piccadilly, Portland Street, Manchester, M1 4PH.

There will be over 250 real ales and 100 bottled beers available.

The SIBA North Region Beer Competition is the starting point for the festival with the competition beers been available to the public from the formal festival opening, on the Thursday. (more…)

All Gates & ‘Mad Monk’ feature in Oz & Hugh Raise the Bar on BBC2!

This four part series was a follow up to the Oz & Hugh Drink to Christmas programme broadcast Christmas 2009. Oz Clarke of course needs no introduction whilst the Hugh is Hugh Dennis, the comedian from BBC1’s Outnumbered and BBC Radio Four’s The Now Show.
